Travel CVICU RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Overland Park, Kansas. The 10-bed unit uses Meditech and supports a 2:1 patient ratio with unit secretaries and techs. Care centers on complex cardiac patients who may need advanced monitoring and mechanical support.

• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and hemodynamic status
• Administer and titrate pressors and positive inotropes
• Manage pacemakers, chest tubes, and pericardial drains
• Support recovery after open heart procedures and Cath or EP lab recovery
• Assist with ECMO cannulation and other advanced cardiac procedures
• Document patient care and assessments in Meditech
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team

• Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas
• ACLS and BLS certification, or ALS and BLS certification
• ICU nursing experience
• Telemetry, vasoactive infusion, pacemaker, chest tube, and post-procedure cardiac assessment skills

• CVICU experience
• Charge nurse experience
