Travel Clinical Lab Scientist in Napa, CA

A Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform laboratory testing and blood bank support in an acute care hospital for a 20 week contract in Napa, California. The unit serves neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Work includes specimen processing, analyzer support, and transfusion services across the clinical lab.

• Receive, accession, and prepare specimens for testing
• Perform blood bank, hematology, urinalysis, and coagulation testing
• Run automated and manual methods for routine lab studies
• Review quality control and verify accurate results
• Complete crossmatch, antibody workup, and transfusion reaction support
• Maintain safety, labeling, and specimen handling standards

• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Blood bank, hematology, urinalysis, and coagulation testing skills
• Analyzer operation, accessioning, and quality control skills

• ASCP-MLS certification
• Hospital clinical laboratory experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Microbiology culture reading experience
