A Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform laboratory testing, specimen collection, and result reporting in a critical access hospital for a 20-week contract in Clearlake, California. The role supports STAT orders, critical value notification, quality control, and accurate documentation. It also assists with venous and arterial blood draws and maintains readiness for regulatory surveys.

• Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens with accuracy
• Report STAT results and critical values to providers promptly
• Collect venous and arterial blood samples using aseptic technique
• Verify patient identity and specimen match before analysis
• Maintain quality control, instruments, reagents, calibrators, and supplies
• Complete test order entry, documentation, and regulatory readiness tasks
• Support laboratory assistants and the supervisor as needed

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• Specimen collection, patient identification, and aseptic technique skills
• Quality control, instrument maintenance, and laboratory documentation skills
