Travel Clinical Lab Scientist in Lapeer, MI

A Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist Medical Laboratory Scientist will collect and process blood specimens and support laboratory testing in an acute care hospital laboratory for a 13-week contract in Lapeer, Michigan. The role uses a laboratory information system and follows quality control and accreditation standards while helping maintain safe, clean equipment.

• Collect blood samples using skin puncture and venipuncture techniques
• Verify patient information, label specimens, and match specimen tubes with laboratory forms
• Process specimens according to established guidelines
• Enter patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system
• Assist medical technologists and pathologists with designated laboratory tests
• Maintain equipment, sterile supplies, and a safe clean workspace while handling biohazard waste properly
