Travel Clinical Lab Scientist in Lapeer, MI

A Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist Medical Laboratory Scientist will collect and prepare blood specimens and support testing in a hospital laboratory on a 13-week contract in Lapeer, Michigan. The unit uses a laboratory information system and follows quality control and accreditation standards.

• Collect blood specimens by skin puncture and venipuncture
• Verify patient information and label specimen tubes accurately
• Enter specimen and patient data into the laboratory information system
• Process specimens and assist medical technologists and pathologists with testing
• Maintain a clean work area and follow infection-control and hazardous-waste procedures
• Dispose of sharps and biohazard waste safely
