Travel Clinical Lab Scientist in Eureka, CA

A Travel Clinical Lab Scientist Clinical Laboratory Scientist will support generalist testing in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit covers hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, limited microbiology, and blood bank work, uses Epic, and serves a fast-paced trauma 3 setting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform routine and specialized testing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank sections
• Process, accession, and prepare specimens for analysis
• Verify, release, and report test results accurately
• Support blood bank functions and compatibility testing
• Run quality control, calibrations, and instrument checks
• Follow specimen handling, safety, and infection control practices

• ASCP Medical Laboratory Scientist certification
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Recent blood bank experience
• Epic charting experience
• Community hospital experience

• Siemens Dimensions experience
• Trauma level II experience
