Travel Behavioral Health RN in Cincinnati, OH

A Travel Pediatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will provide behavioral health care for children and adolescents in a locked inpatient psychiatric unit on a 14-week contract in Cincinnati, Ohio. The unit has 15 beds, serves ages 4 to 18, and uses Epic charting. Patients present with acute behavioral health crises, autism, and nonverbal communication needs.

• Administer medications and complete nursing assessments
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and recreational activities
• Perform safety checks and maintain a secure environment
• Support ADLs, including meal supervision, bathing, toileting, and laundry
• Provide one-to-one supervision and de-escalation for high-risk patients
• Document care, participate in rounds, and communicate patient updates

• Ohio Registered Nurse license or compact license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
• 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Pediatric and adolescent psychiatric experience
• Epic charting experience and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training within first month of contract

• Applied Behavioral Analysis training
• Charge nurse experience
• Experience with bipolar, anxiety, eating, psychotic, or depressive disorders
