Travel Behavioral Health RN in Cincinnati, OH

A Travel Pediatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will provide care for children and adolescents in a locked inpatient psychiatry unit on a 14-week contract in Cincinnati, Ohio. The unit averages 15 patients, serves ages 4 to 18, and uses Epic charting.

• Administer medications and complete nursing assessments
• Lead therapeutic groups and recreational activities
• Perform safety checks and monitor 1:1 patients
• Support ADLs such as meals, bathing, toileting, and laundry
• Use de-escalation skills and assist with restraints when needed
• Document care in the medical record and participate in rounds

• Ohio or compact Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
• Pediatric and adolescent psychiatric experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training within the first month of contract

• Applied Behavior Analysis training
• Charge nurse experience
• Experience with bipolar, anxiety, eating, psychotic, or depressive disorders
