Per Diem Post Partum RN in Tarzana, CA

A Per Diem Post Partum Registered Nurse will provide couplet care for mothers and newborns in an acute care hospital in Tarzana, California. The unit serves adults and infants, uses Epic charting, and follows a 1:4 patient ratio.

• Assess postpartum mothers and newborns in couplet care
• Provide discharge teaching and breastfeeding instruction
• Monitor newborn thermoregulation, hypoglycemia, and phototherapy needs
• Support pain management, including epidural and IV PCA care
• Care for patients after vaginal and cesarean delivery
• Monitor fundus, lochia, perineum, bladder status, and incision healing
• Document care and patient responses in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of recent postpartum experience
• AHA BLS and NRP certifications
• Los Angeles Fire Card
• Epic charting experience
