Per Diem ICU RN in Santa Monica, CA

A Per Diem Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for critically ill adults in an intensive care unit in Santa Monica, California. The unit uses Epic and cares for patients with sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, and other complex conditions. Advanced ventilator, hemodynamic, and drip management skills are central to the role.

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and ABGs
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips for critically ill patients
• Manage ventilated patients, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula support
• Maintain arterial, central, PICC, and implanted lines, including ports
• Administer blood products, IV insulin, and procedural sedation as ordered
• Perform line draws, IV starts, and site maintenance while following isolation precautions
• Support care for patients with renal failure, shock, stroke, sepsis, and post-cardiac procedures

• California Registered Nurse license
• AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• 3 years of recent ICU experience, or 1 to 2 years of solid ICU experience
• Epic experience and strong critical care skills
• Ability to obtain a Los Angeles Fire card within 30 days of start
