Travel Wound Care RN in South Carolina

A Travel Wound Care Registered Nurse will provide wound and ostomy care in a teaching hospital on a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit serves adult, pediatric, and mental health patients with an average daily census of 150 and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome, and the hospital is Magnet, teaching, and level 1 trauma.

• Assess wound and ostomy needs across adult, pediatric, and mental health patients
• Manage advanced wound therapies, including negative pressure wound therapy and wound vac care
• Support debridement, dressing changes, and wound culture collection as needed
• Provide ostomy care and education for colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy patients
• Support fistula management, pressure injury prevention, and skin care planning
• Teach patients and families wound care, incontinence care, and self-care techniques

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• WOCN certification
• 2 years of WOCN Registered Nurse experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Pediatric wound care experience
• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, electrical stimulation, growth factors, and skin substitutes
• Burn care, ABI experience, and charge experience
• J pouch and Kock pouch care
