Travel Telemetry RN in Thousand Oaks, CA

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for cardiac and neuro patients in a telemetry unit in Thousand Oaks, California for a 13-week contract. The 30-bed unit uses Meditech, maintains a 4:1 ratio, and is in a Level II trauma hospital with a stroke center.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report changes promptly
• Assess cardiac and neuro patients and update the plan of care
• Interpret EKG strips and escalate abnormal findings
• Start IVs and support related infusions
• Assist with recovery after cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, ablation, Watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion
• Manage chest tubes, medications, and Meditech charting

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification
• EKG interpretation, IV start, and chest tube management skills
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
