Travel Telemetry RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults on a telemetry unit in an acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Epic and serves an average daily census of 25 with a 1:4 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and assess for dysrhythmias
• Provide care for adults with COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, acute MI and post-op thoracic surgery needs
• Support oxygen therapy and BiPAP or CPAP management
• Perform central line, PICC, feeding tube, tracheostomy and wound care
• Collaborate with rapid response and interdisciplinary support teams
• Document assessments, interventions and patient changes in Epic

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of acute care med/surg experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Epic charting experience
• Central line, PICC, tracheostomy, wound care and respiratory support skills

• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients
• Chest tube management
• ABG interpretation
• Cardiac drip support and post cardiac procedure care
