Travel Telemetry RN in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital emergency department holding unit on a 13-week contract in Apple Valley, California.

The unit serves adults and geriatrics, focuses on cardiac telemetry and stroke care, and uses Epic.

First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and identify rhythm changes
• Administer cardiac, vasoactive, and insulin drips without titration
• Provide oxygen therapy and noninvasive airway support
• Manage central lines, PICCs, ports, IV access, and blood products
• Care for stroke, post-MI, cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and renal failure patients
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, feeding tube care, and drain management

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of telemetry or emergency department holding experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and IV start skills

• Emergency department holding experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching or community hospital experience
• LTAC experience or trauma Level I or Level II experience
