Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Portland, OR

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care in a hospital NICU on a 13-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves neonates, adults, and geriatrics and uses Epic charting with a 1:15 ratio.

• Deliver bedside respiratory care for neonates, adults, and geriatrics
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and airway maintenance
• Manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and oxygen therapy
• Perform suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene
• Draw arterial blood gases and support sputum collection
• Support high-risk deliveries, neonatal transport, and rapid response care
• Administer ordered inhaled therapies and monitor patient response

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Two years of critical care and NICU experience
• Airway management, ventilator support, suctioning, and tracheostomy care skills
• Arterial blood gas collection, chest physiotherapy, and neonatal transport skills
• Epic charting experience and 1:15 patient ratio experience

• ARDS, bronchoscopy, SIMV, and heliox experience
• Nitric oxide, inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids, Perforomist, Spiriva, and tobramycin familiarity
• Cystic fibrosis, RSV, and transient tachypnea of the newborn experience
• Inter-departmental and ambulance transport experience
