Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Boston, MA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide neonatal respiratory care in an acute care hospital NICU on a 12-week contract in Boston, Massachusetts. The role supports level 2 and 3 NICU and special care nursery patients in a birthing hospital setting.

• Assess respiratory status and interpret tests and procedures
• Manage neonatal respiratory care in collaboration with physicians and nurses
• Work autonomously within respiratory care protocols
• Support airway management, mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy
• Provide care for NICU and special care nursery patients
• Communicate patient responses and adjust care as indicated

• Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• National Board for Respiratory Care verification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• American Heart Association CPR and Basic Life Support certifications
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years related respiratory care experience
• Experience with artificial airway management, mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy
