Travel Psychiatric RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse will provide inpatient mental health care in a psychiatric hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on a 13-week contract. The unit includes adult and adolescent populations, with higher and lower acuity areas, 1:8 nurse ratios, and Meditech documentation.

• Assess mental status and behavioral needs
• Develop and update individualized care plans
• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor effects
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques
• Support patients in crisis and manage safety concerns
• Monitor vital signs and changes in condition

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• CPI certification
• Accredited registered nursing education
• Psychiatric nursing skills in assessment, medication management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication
