Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Hilo, HI

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a progressive care unit on a 13-week contract in Hilo, Hawaii. The unit cares for telemetry and step-down ICU patients and uses Meditech charting. Continuous cardiac monitoring and BIPAP support are used.

• Provide primary nursing care for progressive care and step-down patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and read telemetry strips
• Assess patients and report changes in condition
• Check fingerstick blood sugars and support medication administration
• Assist with noninvasive respiratory support and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Document care and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team

• Hawaii Registered Nurse license
• BLS/BCLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 2 years hospital acute care experience

• Progressive care experience
• Telemetry experience
• PALS certification
• NIHSS certification
