Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Grand Haven, MI

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a high-acuity surgical step-down unit on a 13-week contract in Grand Haven, Michigan. The unit uses a 4:1 ratio, sometimes 3:1, and nurses with ICU backgrounds do well. Epic experience is preferred.

• Assess and monitor high-acuity surgical step-down patients
• Manage chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, trachs, NG tubes, ostomies, wound vacs and drains
• Administer and titrate IV infusions and drips such as heparin, insulin, nitro, amiodarone and Cardizem
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team for complex patient needs
• Document assessments, treatments and patient responses in the chart
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly

• Current Michigan Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Progressive care, step-down or acute care nursing experience
• Ability to care for patients with complex lines, drains and IV infusions
