Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Arlington, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for heart and vascular patients in a hospital PCU on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Texas. The unit has 31 beds, a 1:4 ratio, and focuses on cardiac and vascular disease with cardiac monitoring needs. The hospital is a Level III trauma center and a designated stroke center.

• Monitor cardiac and vascular patients in progressive care
• Assist with EKGs and rhythm recognition
• Manage cardiac drips and ongoing cardiac monitoring
• Support pacemaker interrogation and arterial sheath monitoring
• Provide post-cath care for cardiovascular patients
• Perform focused nursing assessments and document patient status

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Cardiac telemetry and progressive care nursing skills

• Critical care skills for post-cath management
