Travel Pre-Op RN in Walnut Creek, CA

A Travel Pre-Op Registered Nurse will support preoperative patient preparation in an acute care hospital for a 14-week contract in Walnut Creek, California. The unit cares for surgical and procedural patients across orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, spine, urology, and vascular cases, with a 1:2-3 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Prepare patients for surgery and procedures
• Start IVs and draw labs with IV access
• Perform preoperative calls and readiness checks
• Assist with peripheral nerve blocks
• Administer nebulizer treatments
• Coordinate care with anesthesia and procedural teams

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and AHA PALS certification
• 2+ years recent pre-op experience
• 5 years of clinical nursing experience

• Prior travel and Epic experience
• Pediatric experience
• CAPA certification
• Peripheral nerve block assistance
