Per Diem Pre-Op RN in Everett, WA

A Per Diem Pre-Op Registered Nurse will provide preoperative and phase II recovery care in an acute care hospital in Everett, Washington. The unit serves same-day surgery and inpatient patients with a broad surgical mix, and documentation is done in Epic.

• Assess patients before surgery and review histories, medications, and orders
• Educate patients on preparation, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation, general anesthesia, local anesthesia, MAC, and nerve blocks
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and start or maintain IV access
• Perform pain assessment and medication reconciliation
• Support phase II recovery for same-day surgery and inpatient cases

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 1 year of Pre-Op nursing experience
• Ambulatory/outpatient and pre/post care experience, including Phase II recovery
• Epic experience
• IV initiation and maintenance, dysrhythmia recognition, and perioperative assessment skills

• Inpatient work setting experience
