About this job
A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a pediatric intensive care unit on a 16-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 9 beds, uses Cerner, and has 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess critically ill children in the PICU
- Monitor hemodynamic status and ventilator support
- Start IVs and assist with central line dressing changes
- Assist with caths, LPs, trach care, and tube feeding
- Support ICP monitoring and bedside critical care tasks
- Collaborate with the care team on daily treatment plans
Qualifications
- North Carolina Registered Nurse license
- PALS certification
- 1 year of PICU experience
