Travel Physical Therapist in Spruce Pine, NC

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide inpatient and outpatient therapy services on a 13-week contract in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. The role supports a critical access hospital with acute care and outpatient clinics, seeing about 9 to 11 patients per day per FTE. Cerner is used in acute care and Nethealth Xfits in outpatient therapy.

• Evaluate and treat patients in acute care and outpatient settings
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Perform therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, balance training and gait training
• Use rehabilitation modalities and exercise equipment to support recovery
• Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs and SLPs on patient care
• Document care in the appropriate charting system

• North Carolina Physical Therapist license
• Outpatient and acute care experience
• Strong manual therapy, vestibular, balance and gait training skills

• Orthopedic, sports medicine or spine experience
• Manual therapy background
• Vestibular, vertigo or stroke experience
