Travel Physical Therapist in Asheville, NC

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide therapy in an inpatient rehab hospital on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit serves stroke, TBI, orthopedic, cardiac, SCI, pulmonary and debility patients and uses Meditech and RehabConnect. It is a teaching setting with active student rotations and specialized equipment for mobility and transfer support.

• Evaluate patient mobility, strength and functional goals
• Develop and update treatment plans for complex rehab patients
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training and transfer training
• Assist with e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care and limb wrapping as ordered
• Educate patients and families on home exercise, DME and adaptive equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during conferences and care planning

• Current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Safe patient handling proficiency
• Experience with EMR documentation and compliance
• Interdisciplinary communication and critical thinking skills

• Inpatient rehab hospital experience
