Travel Physical Therapist in Mission Viejo, CA

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide acute inpatient rehabilitation in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Mission Viejo, California. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with CVA, trauma, cardiac, orthopedic, and neuro cases, and uses Epic charting.

• Evaluate adults and geriatrics in the acute inpatient setting
• Develop and adjust treatment plans for mobility, strength, and functional recovery
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, and transfer training
• Assist with bed mobility, assistive devices, and safe discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on recovery and home exercise
• Document care and communicate progress with the care team

• California Physical Therapist license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• 2+ years acute care physical therapy experience in a Level II trauma environment
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist program

• Epic charting system experience
• Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation experience
• Neurologic, orthopedic, and oncology rehabilitation experience
