Travel Physical Therapist in Kinston, NC

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide outpatient therapy in a hospital for a 13-week contract in Kinston, North Carolina. The unit serves adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics with ortho, neuro and developmental delay needs. Care is mostly 1:1, with one patient per hour.

• Perform evaluations and reassessments to guide treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength and function
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on home programs and safety
• Document progress, goals and response to treatment in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and the rehabilitation team on care planning
• Support safe patient handling and use of therapy equipment
• Supervise physical therapist assistants, techs and students as needed

• North Carolina Physical Therapist license
• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Prior travel experience
• Core skills in assessment, treatment planning and patient education

• Epic charting experience
• Pediatric, developmental delay and early intervention experience
• Neurologic, orthopedic and geriatric rehabilitation experience
• Traction, taping, vestibular and spinal care skills
