Travel Phlebotomist in Fullerton, CA

A Travel Phlebotomist Certified Phlebotomy Technician I will collect and process patient specimens in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Fullerton, California. The unit serves neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, uses Epic charting, and welcomes first-time travelers.

• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary methods
• Prioritize stat, timed, and routine collection requests
• Prepare, label, and transport specimens to the laboratory
• Perform finger sticks, heel sticks, and blood culture collections
• Follow aseptic technique, standard precautions, and radiation safety
• Educate patients on specimen collection and preservation
• Respond to urgent situations and maintain safe specimen handling

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I certification
• BLS certification
• Two years of inpatient phlebotomy experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Aseptic technique, specimen handling, and standard precautions
