Travel Phlebotomist in Fullerton, CA

A Travel Phlebotomist Certified Phlebotomy Technician I will collect and process specimens in an acute care hospital in Fullerton, California for a 13-week contract. The unit serves neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics and uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Collect blood specimens using vacutainer and syringe methods
• Perform finger sticks and heel sticks
• Label, transport, and deliver specimens to the laboratory
• Prioritize stat, timed, and routine collection requests
• Use aseptic technique and standard precautions during patient care
• Provide patient instructions and post-venipuncture site care
• Handle blood cultures, special tubes, and protected specimens

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician I
• BLS certification
• 2 years inpatient phlebotomy experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Aseptic technique, venipuncture, and capillary collection skills
• Specimen labeling, transport, and order of draw knowledge
