Travel Pediatrics RN in Bloomington, IN

A Travel Pediatric Registered Nurse will care for pediatric medical-surgical patients in an acute care hospital in Bloomington, Indiana on a 13-week contract. The small pediatric unit sees infants through adolescents, uses Cerner, and treats respiratory, surgical, and infection-related cases. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess pediatric patients and monitor respiratory, surgical, and infectious conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Support oxygen delivery and high-flow respiratory care as needed
• Manage feedings, breast milk handling, and nutrition support
• Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, and peripheral line care
• Maintain isolation precautions, infection prevention, and safe specimen handling

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS
• 1 year of pediatric medical-surgical experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Pediatric dosage calculations, IV starts, and peripheral line care

• Blood and blood product administration
• Central line and implanted port care
• Seizure management and anti-seizure medication support
• Pediatric step-down experience
