Travel Pediatrics ER RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Pediatrics Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide emergency care to pediatric patients in a hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit has 36 beds, 2 trauma rooms, a 3:1 ratio, and uses Meditech.

• Assess and stabilize pediatric emergency patients
• Administer medications and start IV access
• Perform in-and-out catheterizations and medication reconciliation
• Support urgent and trauma care in a fast-paced unit
• Coordinate with physicians, midlevel providers, techs, and unit clerks
• Document care accurately in Meditech

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC certifications
• 2+ years of emergency department experience
• Pediatric emergency care experience

• Charge nurse or nursing educator experience
• Meditech experience
• Leadership skills
• Broad pediatric intervention skills
