Travel Pediatrics ER RN in Denver, CO

A Travel Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for pediatric emergency patients in an acute care hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Denver, Colorado. The unit has 23 beds, uses Meditech and GE monitors, and works with 4:1 ratios, increasing to 5:1 during surge.

• Assess and stabilize pediatric emergency patients
• Assist with IV starts, port access, venipuncture, Foley placement, EKGs and point-of-care testing
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Coordinate triage, treatment and reassessment in a fast-paced emergency department
• Document care accurately in the electronic record
• Communicate clearly with families and the care team

• Colorado Registered Nurse license
• 1 year current pediatric emergency department Registered Nurse experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC and PALS certifications
• PALS certification accepted in lieu of ENPC

• CEN certification
• CPEN certification
• US IV competency
