Travel PACU RN in Atlanta, GA

A Travel Post Anesthesia Registered Nurse will provide recovery care in a hospital on a 16-week contract in Atlanta, Georgia. The unit handles higher-acuity thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology and general surgery cases and uses Cerner.

• Monitor post-anesthesia recovery and assess airway, pain and neurologic status
• Provide care for thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology and general surgery patients
• Administer ordered medications and recovery interventions
• Document assessments, treatments and handoffs in Cerner
• Coordinate with charge nurses, supervisors and the surgical team
• Escalate changes in condition and support safe transitions from recovery

• Georgia Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• 2 years of recent post-anesthesia care experience
• AHA ACLS and BLS certification
• NIHSS
• Cerner experience
