Travel OR RN in Indianapolis, IN

A Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse will support abdominal transplant cases in a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on a 13-week contract. The unit handles kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal or multivisceral transplants for adults and geriatrics with Cerner charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Prepare the operating room for abdominal transplant and related complex surgery cases
• Assist the surgical team during kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal transplant procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and support instrument, specimen, and count processes
• Coordinate intraoperative needs with anesthesia and the surgical team
• Support laparoscopic, robotic, and other complex operating room cases as assigned
• Follow universal protocol and patient safety practices throughout the case

• Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana, temporary license, or compact license at start
• BLS
• 3 years of operating room experience with transplant cases
• Regulatory charting for transplants
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Cerner charting system experience
• Robotic transplant and gastrointestinal surgery experience
• Organ donation and scrub transplant surgery experience
