Travel Oncology RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse will provide post-operative oncology care in an acute care hospital on a 12-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, averages 24 patients, and uses Epic with typical ratios of 1:4. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor post-operative oncology patients
• Assess drains, central lines, and implanted lines
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Track pain, symptoms, and recovery status
• Coordinate care with therapy and support services
• Educate patients and families on recovery needs
• Document care in Epic

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of inpatient oncology experience
• Post-surgical care experience
• Central line and implanted line care skills
• Epic charting experience

• Accessing and managing ports
• Blood and blood product administration
• Colostomy and ileostomy care
• Wound care and PICC line care
