Travel OB Tech in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Certified OB Tech will support labor and delivery surgical care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves adults and handles scheduled, urgent and emergent obstetric cases, including surgical and vaginal deliveries.

• Prepare labor and delivery rooms and case carts for obstetric procedures
• Assist with cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage and hysterectomy cases
• Support vaginal and operative deliveries, including twins and triplets
• Maintain aseptic technique and support instrument sterilization and disinfection
• Gather supplies and equipment for scheduled, urgent and emergent cases
• Help with turnover, transport and workflow in the unit

• BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification
• Virginia state license
• 2 years of OB or labor and delivery experience
• Aseptic technique and sterilization/disinfection skills
• Experience with cesarean sections, D&C, cystoscopy/obstetric and hysterectomy cases

• Crash cart experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Experience with bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD and other advanced surgical cases
