Travel OB Tech in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel OB Tech Certified Obstetric Technician will support labor and delivery in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit handles adults and scheduled, urgent, and emergent cesarean and obstetric cases, including preterm birth, preeclampsia, diabetes, and multiple gestation.

• Assist with cesarean sections, bilateral tubal ligations, dilation and curettage, and cerclage cases
• Support vaginal and operative deliveries in the OR
• Prepare case carts, scrub supplies, and obstetric equipment for procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and disinfection standards
• Set up instruments and supplies for scheduled, urgent, and emergent obstetric cases
• Help the team with labor and delivery patient care activities

• BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification
• Virginia state license
• 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• Aseptic technique and sterilization/disinfection skills
• Experience with cesarean sections, dilation and curettage, and cystoscopy/obstetric procedures

• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• First assist experience
• Crash cart experience
