Travel NICU RN in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates and infants in a level III NICU in Apple Valley, California on a 13-week contract. The 14-bed unit uses Epic and staffs by acuity, with ratios up to 1:3.

• Monitor premature and critically ill newborns
• Administer neonatal medications and IV therapies
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, UACs, UVCs, and arterial lines
• Support CPAP, BIPAP, ventilator care, and high-frequency ventilation
• Assist with feedings, breast milk handling, thermoregulation, and developmental care
• Assist with lumbar punctures, intubations, phototherapy, and sepsis workups
• Educate families and coordinate care with the neonatal team

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP Advanced
• 2 years of registered nurse experience
• 1 year of neonatal intensive care unit experience
• Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience

• Administration of blood products and support for high-risk deliveries
• Mother/baby experience
• Chest tube management, nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Gastroschisis, omphalocele, and Vapotherm
