Travel Medical Lab Tech in South Carolina

A Travel Medical Lab Tech Medical Technologist will support microbiology testing in a clinical laboratory for a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. First-time travelers are welcome, and the work centers on bacteriology, mycology, and rapid molecular testing.

• Prepare specimens for microbiology testing
• Perform Gram stain reading, plating, and rapid PCR setup
• Run culture reading, identification, and susceptibility testing
• Carry out routine and specialized laboratory testing
• Troubleshoot quality control issues and instruments
• Assist with maintenance, data review, and training

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related scientific discipline
• ASCP BOC Medical Technologist certification or equivalent specialty laboratory certification
• Gram stain reading, plating, and rapid PCR setup

• At least 3 years of medical technologist experience
• Micro and Beaker experience
• Culture reading, organism identification, and susceptibility testing
