Travel Medical Assistant in West Hollywood, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant Medical Assistant will support patient care in an outpatient orthopedics clinic on a 13-week contract in West Hollywood, California. The clinic handles high daily volume in 34 rooms and uses Epic.

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, height and weight, pulse oximetry, and history updates
• Verify insurance and support visit flow for a high-volume orthopedics clinic
• Assist with dressing changes, wound care, and suture removal
• Collect and label specimens for processing
• Perform venipuncture and support ordered point-of-care testing
• Stock supplies and keep exam rooms ready for the next visit

• Medical assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• High school diploma or GED
• BLS certification
• 1 year of outpatient medical assistant experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Venipuncture, wound care, suture removal, and patient intake skills

• CMA certification
• Orthopedics experience
• Authorization forms, chart preparation, scheduling appointments, and follow-up phone calls
• 12-lead EKG/ECG, splinting, telephone triage, nasal swabs, and teaching hospital experience
