Travel Medical Assistant in Santa Monica, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant Certified Medical Assistant will support an outpatient cancer center and breast center on a 13-week contract in Santa Monica, California. The role is in an acute care hospital, uses Epic, and welcomes first-time travelers.

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Collect histories, medications, and allergies
• Assist with telephone triage and internal calls
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing
• Support nebulizer treatments, immunizations, and TB testing
• Handle follow-up calls, suture removal, and refill requests

• BLS certification
• Certified Medical Assistant credential
• One year of medical assistant experience
• Electronic charting experience
• Clinical skills in vital signs, patient intake, specimen collection, venipuncture, screening, immunizations, and telephone triage
