Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Pomona, CA

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Pomona, California. The unit uses Cerner and serves a Magnet, teaching, Level II trauma center with stroke patients. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report changes in patient condition
• Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on medical-surgical and telemetry services
• Administer medications, treatments, and ordered therapies
• Support care for stroke, cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, oncology, and general medical patients
• Interpret dysrhythmias and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry or Telemetry experience
• Stroke patient care experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills

• Medical-surgical experience
• Cerner experience
• ICU or ED experience
• Ventilator management, conscious sedation, charge nurse, and Level I trauma experience
