Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Orangeburg, SC

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The unit uses Epic, has 43 beds, and works at a 1:5-6 ratio. It serves patients with diabetes, HTN, CAD, seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic renal disease in a Level III trauma setting.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and identify changes
• Assess adult and geriatric patients and update care plans
• Administer medications, blood products, and heparin protocols
• Manage IV access, central lines, PICCs, and ports
• Provide care for oxygen therapy, tracheostomy, feeding tubes, drains, and wounds
• Coordinate with respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Document care and patient responses in Epic

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry competency and dysrhythmia interpretation
• IV therapy, line management, and blood product administration skills
• Tracheostomy, feeding tube, drain, and wound care skills

• NIHSS
• Previous charge experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience
