Travel Med Surg RN in Virginia

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide direct care on a med surg unit in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The 25-bed unit serves cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and GI patients, uses Expanse charting, and commonly supports 1:5 to 1:6 ratios.

• Assess and plan care for medical surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments per orders
• Monitor cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and GI needs
• Document care in the electronic record
• Complete bedside shift report and high-risk documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, techs, and the care team

• Active compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• 2 years of hospital medical surgical experience
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient communication skills
