Travel Med Surg RN in Newport, OR

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for acutely ill adults and surgical patients in a hospital med surg unit on a 13-week contract in Newport, Oregon. The setting serves emergent and elective cases in a critical access hospital.

• Assess acutely ill adult medical and surgical patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and routine nursing interventions
• Monitor patient status and report clinical changes
• Coordinate care with the nursing team
• Support preoperative and postoperative recovery needs
• Educate patients and families on care plans

• Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• NIHSS
• 1 year medical surgical nursing experience

• Medical Surgical Nursing certification
