Travel Med Surg RN in Duluth, GA

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult surgical patients in an acute care hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Duluth, Georgia. The unit is fast paced with frequent admissions and discharges from the ED, PACU and direct admits, and Cerner is used.

• Assess and monitor postoperative medical surgical patients
• Manage admissions, transfers and discharges on a busy unit
• Administer medications and complete routine nursing treatments
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient response
• Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge needs
• Escalate changes in condition promptly

• Georgia Registered Nurse license
• AHA BLS
• 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong assessment, prioritization and communication skills

• ACLS
• Cerner experience
