Travel Med Surg RN in Augusta, GA

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care on a med-surg/ortho unit in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Augusta, Georgia. The 40-bed unit uses Meditech and typically sees 1:7 ratios, with support from nurses, PCTs, and a unit coordinator.

• Assess and care for medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient response
• Document nursing care in Meditech
• Assist with EKGs, blood glucose checks, and venipuncture
• Coordinate daily care with the care team
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly

• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 1+ year of hospital experience
• Medical-surgical Registered Nurse experience
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
