Travel Maternal-Newborn RN in Dallas, TX

A Travel Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse will care for postpartum and mother/baby patients in a hospital in Dallas, Texas, on a 13-week contract. The unit uses CPN charting and serves couplets with about 1:3 ratios. It focuses on routine newborn and postpartum care.

• Provide mother/baby care for postpartum patients and newborns
• Support lactation education and bedside teaching
• Monitor newborn blood sugar levels and respond to changes
• Assist with phototherapy and IV antibiotics
• Coordinate care for couplets with the team
• Document care in the electronic record

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Mother/Baby experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• NICU experience
• Postpartum experience
