Travel Maternal-Newborn RN in Dallas, TX

A Travel Maternal-Newborn Registered Nurse will provide postpartum and newborn care in a hospital in Dallas, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit manages couplets at about 1:3 and uses CPN for charting. Mother/baby care and lactation support are part of the focus.

• Provide postpartum and newborn care for couplets
• Support lactation education and breastfeeding assistance
• Monitor newborn blood sugars and response to phototherapy
• Administer IV antibiotics as directed
• Perform maternal and newborn assessments and document care
• Collaborate with the care team to promote safe transitions home

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• Mother/baby experience
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Strong postpartum and newborn assessment skills

• NICU and postpartum experience
