Travel Mammography Tech in Eureka, CA

A Travel Mammography Technologist will perform screening, diagnostic and stereotactic breast imaging in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit serves adults and geriatrics and uses Epic charting. Mammography screening, diagnostic exams and stereotactic biopsies are the core procedures.

• Perform screening, diagnostic and 3-D mammography
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies and related breast imaging procedures
• Prepare patients and review imaging history before exams
• Follow radiation safety and universal precautions
• Document studies in Epic and coordinate with radiology staff
• Maintain workflow and support quality checks

• California license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of mammography experience
• Prior travel experience
• Outpatient mammography experience
• Lead or management experience

• ARRT M or ARRT R certification
• Digital quality assurance procedures
• PACS and Epic charting system experience
• Needle localizations, fine needle aspiration and breast self exam teaching
